Seperti yang sudah saya ceritakan sebelumnya, saat ini saya sedang berada di stase anestesi di RSUD Koja, Tanjung Priok. Hari ini saya menjadi ko-asisten anestesi di OK 2. Operasi hari ini adalah pengangkatan kista ovarii yang dilakukan oleh dr.B, Sp.OG. dan para asistennya.
Topik hari ini yang diobrolkan oleh para dokter dan perawat di OK ialah mengenai seorang dokter Koja berinisial O yang dituduh melakukan aborsi. Saya terus terang kurang begitu tahu (malah tidak tahu) mengenai berita ini.
Sebagai ko-as yang baik saya pun hanya mendengarkan dengan seksama untuk kemudian saya cari tahu beritanya lebih lanjut. Cerita tentang dr.B pun tidak hanya membahas kasus ini, tapi juga mengenai dr. O, anaknya, keluarganya. Kesimpulan akhirnya para dokter dan perawat agak tidak percaya dengan berita ini. Tapi seperti pepatah bilang, Don't judge book by its cover, hati dan kelakuan orang di belakang kita siapa yang tau sih?
dr.B pun mengeluh "heran... kenapa gw yang ditelponin orang2 ya? apa gara2 gw juga kerja di RS O bareng dia?"

Obama Bela Israel
Ya, pidato yang ditunggu2 akhirnya keluar juga. Publik Amerika dan dunia menantikan pidato resmi Obama mengenai konflik Timur Tengah. Hasil pidatonya bisa dibilang menghancurkan harapan banyak orang tentang terciptanya perdamaian di Timur Tengah.
Obama mengatakan bahwa Amerika mendukung Israel dan mengecam serangan Hamas ke Israel. Sedangkan untuk korban Palestina sebanyak 1300 orang, Obama hanya mengucapkan simpati saja.
Pidato Obama ini bisa dibilang kurang lebih sama dengan pidato C.Rize beberapa hari lalu yang saya lihat di FOX news yang bernada sama. Amerika tetap mendukung Israel, no matter what.

Wrestling in Big Picture
Have you ever wonder if the wrestling you saw in TV was a real or a fake?
Let me answer it, yes it is a fake. But not every part of the wrestling was a fake. There are many parts that were real. Yes, the story or the scenario was being set up. But the others are real. The wrestler and the move are definitely real.
DO you know the blood in the wrestling can be real or fake? In the mainstream wrestling like WWE, maybe they are using fake blood. By in the live wrestling with no TV coverage, the blood and the action are likely to be real.
Just watch The Wrestler (Mickey Rourke, 2008), it is a really great movie. It shown the unknown part of proffessional wrestling. The critics give A for this movie. The movie shown how the blood was made.
The wrestler hid a sharp thing in his glove, and when he had chance, he used it to cut his forehead. A little cut in the face will make a lot of blood. So it will looks that he was badly injured.
The moves are also real so that sometimes we hear that a wrestler is taken to the hospital to do some surgery.
Real of Fake? It is still worth seeing..

Hari Senin 19/1/09, banjir lagi di daerah Rawasari, Cempaka Putih, dan terusannya.. Tampak nya siklus banjir 2 tahunan benar2 terjadi..
Saya yang kali ini mendapatkan stase anestesi di RSUD Koja pun harus melewati banjir ini untuk menuju ke RS.. Untung bis yang saya naiki bis besar yang bisa menerobos banjir..

External Otitis
Have you ever felt pain in your outside ear?
If your hearing is doesn't involved, your ear looks red, and when you hold it you feel pain, then you are likely getting external otitis.
It is caused by common bacteries.
External otitis divided into sircumcript and diffuse. If you have the sircumcript, the treatment is by using local antibiotic, if you have the diffuse one, you have to use antibiotic tampon.

Medical Related
If we look into a hospital, we can see a lot of different proffession there. There is a common thing, though. All of the proffession related to medical. For example, if we want to check our health in the day time, we can go straight to the polyclinic. We can go to the general practice doctor or specialist doctor. The different between both of the proffession is the specialist handle "more advance" cases. You can choose depend on what is your disease.
If you go to the hospital in the night time, then you have to go to the emergency room. The polyclinic is only available in day time. There is one common thing you can see in the both time. We always can see the medical assistants. The medical assistants mainly have three shift. Morning, noon, and night. That thing makes us can see medical assistants every where in the hospital.
The school for medical doctor and medical assistant schools is different. The time to through also different. One of the famous medical assistant school is St. Augustine School of Medical Assistants.

Immunotherapy
I got an assignment from my consulent because I know very little about this kind of therapy.. So, let me write on this blog to help me remember..
Immunotherapy is a form of medical treatment based on the concept to modulating immune system to achieve a prophylactic and/or therapeutic goal.
The main used of immunotherapy is to treat cancer and allergies. In this post I will talk about allergen immunotherapy.
Allergen immunotherapy is the process by which increasing doses of an allergen (allergy-causing substance) are injected subcutaneously (under the skin) over time as a treatment to prevent allergic symptoms that usually occur on exposure to the allergen.
The point is to make your body less sensitive from the allergen. This treatment can prevent the development of new allergies in your body. It is clinically proved to stop the allergy to become asthma in children.
The latest research in immunotherapy concludes that in June 2008, US doctors from the Clinical Research Division led by Dr. Cassian Yee at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle had for the first time successfully treated a patient with advanced skin cancer by injecting the patient with immune cells cloned from his own immune system. The patient was free from tumours within eight weeks of treatment. Experts say that this case could be a landmark in the treatment of cancer in general.

Watch TV on PC?
Sometimes I feel bored blogging all day and browsing the web. I want to realx, watching TV, but I also don't want to lose the chance of getting hired to do online jobs. My favourite hobby is also to download my favourite series from the web. My dad always complaint when I leave the computer without using it. He doesn't want to know whether I will used it later or not. He just turn off my PC.
So what is my solution? Luckily after browsing a while, I found information which tells that you can watch TV without leaving your PC. TV on PC! Cool huh?! Now you can watch TV on PC. You can choose which one you want to watch.
Now I can do my favourite things just by sitting in my PC. Blogging, browsing, downloading, and watching are now very easy to be done. So, have you ever tried it? Try it now, before the internet world-wide is disconnected!
