Where is the Rock?



It is been a while since the last rock-based singing competition. There were RockStar INXS and RockStar Supernova, which goal was the same, found a lead singer. The pop competitions like American Idol, Britain/America Got Talent, etc, are still on.

But where is the rock? I am eager to see any rock band finding its vocalist through a TV broadcast-competition.

Still about Apple Pie



Apple pie is delicious, like I have mentioned in the lower post. Healthy? Maybe. You still have to watch out. There are roughly 250 calories and 6 weight watchers points in a slice of Apple Pie.

With all that delicious fruit an apple pie should be healthy, but the truth is a slice can have as much as 750 calories and 30 grams of fat. For the most part, the culprit is the crust.

The key is to look after the ingredients. Make sure they are healthy.

Apple pie is one kind of the famous American pie. It is a delicious food, if you like it though. Many people adore the local apple pie. Is it healthy?

This is the nutrition fact :

Apple Pie (1 piece (1/6 of 8" pie))
Calories 280
Fat 15 g
Saturated Fat 4 g
Carbohydrates 40 g
Cholesterol 0 mg
Protein 2 g
Dietary Fiber 2 g

Yup, there is zero cholesterol. But you have to watch out about the saturated fat and the carbohydrates. Still, it is better than eating Big Mac.

Cappuccino, Nutrition Facts



I honestly think that this is the best coffee product. Yes, it is better than espresso, latte, or else. Cappuccino has the real taste and flavor. But what about the nutrition? Have you give a thought?

If you made one by your self :
Serving Size: 1 Cup; Calories: 63, Total Fat: 6g, Carbs: 1.8g, Protein: 4.5g

If you bought it at the nearest Starbucks :
Serving Size: 1 Grande drink / 16 oz; Calories: 110, Total Fat: 3.5g, Carbs: 10g, Protein: 7g

Cappuccinos are not considered nutrient dense. The main vitamin found in cappuccinos is Vitamin A, which is a fat-soluble vitamin that aids in cell metabolism. A 12 oz. cappuccino with soy milk contains 6 percent of the recommended daily value (DV). A 12 oz. cappuccino with nonfat milk contains 9 percent DV. A 12 oz. cappuccino with whole milk contains 5 percent DV.

As for minerals, cappuccinos with nonfat milk and whole milk are high in calcium (20 and 23 percent DV, respectively). Cappuccinos with soy milk contain a moderate amount of calcium (16 percent of daily value) and a small amount of Iron (3 percent of daily value). Calcium helps maintain bone and teeth health. Iron transports oxygen through the blood.

So, it is better to made one by yourself though.

High Cholesterol Food, Avoid It



Although, your blood cholesterol level doesn't increase as soon as you eat cholesterol food, you still have to avoid it, but don't afraid to eat it.

There are several things that cholesterol helps our bodies to do:

- Keep the cell wall healthy
- Help the body produce enough vitamin D
- Aid in digesting, by producing stomach acids to digest fat

So, be wise which to consume, and which to not.

Cholesterol comes from animals. If a food does not come from an animal (such as a fruit or vegetable), then it does not have cholesterol. The highest of high cholesterol foods are eggs and liver. An egg yolk has 213 mg of cholesterol.
