Coffee and Weight Loss



Some people said that drinking coffee can help you in losing weight. Some people said drinking coffee will slow your losing weight process. Which one is true?

Research has been back and forth on whether a few cups of coffee a day is a healthy habit or not. The latest research shows that it is not only safe to consume several cups of coffee per day, but it can actually help you lose weight.

A few studies indicate that drinking coffee or tea with caffeine may slightly boost weight loss or prevent weight gain. But there's no evidence that increased caffeine consumption results in significant or permanent weight loss. And some of the studies looking at caffeine and weight were poor quality or done on animals, making the results questionable or hard to generalize to humans. In addition, some studies found that decaffeinated coffee may contribute to modest changes in weight, suggesting that substances or factors besides caffeine may play a role in weight loss.

You also have to beware if you are an coffee addict. It will slow you down. There are two basic reasons coffee is a problem for the person trying to lose weight. (It's no bargain for the person who isn't either, by the way). The first reason is psychological, the second physiological.

A Cup of Java



*sigh.. There is something wrong with my Java. I don't noticed it until I can't run my Limewire. Limewire is my key to download all the stuff; Smallville series, Glee series, Heroes series, movies, including the naughty ones. LOL.

Yes, I can't run Limewire!! It is so annoying. I try to solve the problem, but I can't. My old Java is Java 6 Update 20. This problem starts when I install the Update 22 Version.

The point is I can't delete the Java 6 Update 22 version because there is no the suitable *.msi file. I look for everywhere and there is none! So I start googling again, and a site told me to delete the Key in regedit.exe. So I delete the key. And now when I try to remove Java from the Add or Remove Software, it wouldn't even open and show corrupt sign!!

Damn!!

Watch Out for Health Hoax



Nowadays, there are so many hoax. Entertainment and health are the most talked about hoax. The hoax come to your facebook, your email, or your Blackberry Messenger. If you hear about some crucial health information, don't just swallow it. Check the truth. Google can help you for it.

A short hoax story :

A busy Boston architect, Brooke Trivas gets tons of emails. She usually responds to them quickly, replying or deleting as needed. But a recent email, sent by a friend, was so unnerving it required more attention.

Leading brands of lipstick contain lead, the message warned -- at levels high enough to cause cancer. The warning cited as its source a doctor from a hospital breast cancer unit in Toronto. The message included a plea to share the news, and Trivas did, forwarding the email to 10 friends, worried they had not yet heard about this bizarre health hazard.

Soon, she learned the truth: the email was a hoax.

Sitting All Day Long



As a human, we can't leave the sitting or standing all day long. It depends on what we're doing. If you are an office guy, then you must be sitting all day long. It is unhealthy. The best thing is to sit correctly for your health.

Human beings weren’t made to sit in office chairs all day. What we thought was just uncomfortable, though, may be more than that – it may actually affect our health and wellness.

So what if you’re a writer, or an IT guy, or otherwise sit in a chair all day? Here are some easy ways to incorporate more movement into your day (if you can’t get your boss to spring for a work station treadmill):

1. Get up and walk around for a few minutes every hour or two – even if it’s just to the bathroom and back.
2. Fit a workout in before heading to the office.
3. Take the stairs.
4. Use your morning, afternoon and lunch breaks to do something active – take a walk, a run, a bike ride or hit the gym. Eat standing up.
5. Introduce “walking meetings” to your co-workers. If you have a meeting or brainstorming session scheduled with a small group, why not take it around the block? Some people do their best thinking on their feet.
6. Stretch or do calisthenics in your cubicle every couple of hours.
7. Sit on a balance ball instead of a regular chair. At least then you’ll be working your core muscles.
8. When you get home at night, don’t head straight for the couch. Do something active – you’ll feel better and your body will thank you.

Disability Helper



God always make two parts of thing in this word; good and bad, pretty and ugly, fat and thin, black and white, religious and atheist, fortunate and unfortunate, and many more. There are people who unfortunate with their body. They have a disability which prevent them to function like normal people. They have to use extra equipment such as dumbwaiter to help them.

These people need helps from those who care. We can't leave them like that. We have to help them especially when the unfortunate people is our relative or family. There are many ways to help the disable person. You can took them in your care. You also can make their life easier by using health care equipment.

Different disability means different equipment. You also have to train them to take care them self. If the people have problem in foot or leg, you can get them a wheel chair. If you have problem for them to go to the next floor, you can used the stairlift. Stairlift is a problem saver. You don't have to carry the person by yourself. If the disable person wants to get something at the near store, you can get them electric scooters. Believe me, it is worth the price. It will worth of many time of yours.

Warning For Women : Coffee Can Shrink Your Breast!.... a Hoax though



This is an interesting information. Every people I met in the street usually hold a coffee in their hand. This is the Starbucks' era. Everybody drinks coffee. If you don't drink coffee, then you are not cool! LOL. Don't forget, coffee also has bad effects.

One article told that :

A new study, published in the British Journal of Cancer, examined 300 coffee drinkers, obviously women, asking them how much coffee they drink per day and then measuring their bust size.

The data showed women who drank MORE than 3 cups of coffee a day had an average breast size 17% smaller than women who consumed LESS than 3 cups per day.

In general, women with BIGGER breasts are at higher risk.

"However, anyone who thinks they can tell which women are coffee drinkers just from their bra measurements will be disappointed,” Helena Jernstrom, from Lund University in Sweden, who led the study, told The Telegraph.

Scientists believe coffee’s impact on estrogen causes the shrinkage. And, it might affect testosterone too. Eek

Researchers from Sweden recruited 269 women (average age was 29) to have their breast size measured and to answer a questionnaire about coffee intake and other lifestyle choices. All the women were from families at high risk for breast cancer and about half carried a gene, CYP1A2*1F, that is associated with breast cancer. Essentially, the researchers were studying the relationship between CYP1A2*1F, breast size, and coffee intake. The gene is known to control the metabolism of the hormone estrogen as well as certain chemicals found in coffee; it’s also been linked to higher breast density and thus higher breast cancer risk.

For women who had CYP1A2*1F, those who drank 3 or more cups of coffee a day had smaller breasts than those who drank less coffee (average difference was about 150 mL). However, for women who did not have the gene, drinking more than 3 cups of coffee was actually associated with slightly larger breast size (average difference was about 50 mL). The researchers do not have an explanation for the correlation between coffee and breast size. They only conclude that because coffee was correlated with smaller breast size, it supports earlier studies that suggest coffee protects against breast cancer.


So, the conclusion is don't just believe what you have hear! Search more and more! Dig more and more! A cup of coffee per day won't kill.
