Urgent and Quick Weight Loss Tips

My advice - aim to lose 3-6 pounds in the next 3 weeks by keeping a reasonable deficit of 500-1000 calories, eat real food, lots of veggies, avoid carbonated beverages and salty foods, and have a great time at the beach.

Drink tons of cold water. And I agree with the above post - lots of non-starchy veggies (anything green, except peas), no carbonated beverages or salty food. Protein shakes are good - just make sure it is not the kind that are loaded with sugar - I like the Biggest Loser brand (50 cals, and only one gram sugar per scoop). I know it may not sound right, but also want to get in some healthy fats so that your body does not go into starvation mode. Just cook those green veggies in some healthy oil (extra-virgin olive oil, walnut oil, or avocado oil) - but stay away from animal fat or butter - and eat a few nuts (like an ounce, not a bowl full.

This is a short countdown to the best tips for how to lose weight.

Number 5 - Drinking water is a big part of weight loss. It might not seem too important but if you think about it if you're not drinking water you will most likely be drinking soda or other high sugar beverages. With all that sugar you don't use up it gets converted to fat.

Number 4 - This is an obvious one but you need to eat better. Like with drinking, you need to cut out all the sugar and fat. I know you've heard this a million times but you need to eat fruits and vegetables, but don't just try the same boring fruits everyone eats, try and find new ones that you might enjoy more.

Number 3 - The next one requires a bit of work but is very beneficial. Building muscle doesn't just make you look and feel stronger muscle actually helps burn fat.

Number 2 - This is another obvious one you've heard countless times, Exercise. It can be a lot of hard work but you could make it fun and easy. Walking or running can be very tedious so go and find a sport that interests you. If you keep up with that, even a little bit a day, you will be a lot slimmer very soon.

Number 1 - The most important but what most people get wrong. You can't diet. It might seem good to eat less but in reality when you eat less your body starts to think that you have less food to survive so it will try keep as much fat to keep you alive. You know you have enough food but your body doesn't SO DO NOT DIET!

Weight Loss Myths Revealed for You!

The mistake most people make when trying to lose weight is believing there is a magical diet or weight loss pill that will help them reach their weight loss goals. We’re sorry to disappoint you, but there isn’t. These types of diets may be endorsed by top celebrities, but that doesn’t mean they’re going to work. Notice how often you hear about Oprah’s weight loss rollercoaster? That’s because whatever her magical diet is, it’s not working for her. That goes for anyone who tries a fad diet or wastes money on a magical diet-potion or lotion. Fad diets will do nothing for your weight loss plan and might end up actually doing more harm than good.

To lose weight all you really need to do is burn more calories than you store. No matter what creative method the next trendy diet suggests, you can still accomplish this by eating fewer calories or exercising more than you currently do. Leave the diet myths and fads for the tabloids - if you really want to lose weight you need to ignore the dieting myths and get started on your weight loss plan.

Some "diet facts" are repeated so often that women can be pretty convinced that they know everything there is to know about fat, carbs and hunger. But when you peel back the platitudes and look at the research, the truth about eating healthy food -- and what fills you up and what trims you down can surprise you. Find out thereal truth about these common diet myths.

Diet myth 1: Only eat when you're hungry.

Diet facts: Researchers at the National Weight Control Registry (NWCR) report that spacing food evenly throughout the day is key to weight-loss success. People who eat healthy food at regular intervals, starting with breakfast, are better nourished, think more clearly and report fewer mood swings than those who eat erratically. Meal skippers are more prone to weight problems probably because once they do eat, they eat too much of all the wrong stuff. People who successfully maintain a healthy weight eat nutritious foods every four to five hours, regardless of whether it's a weekday, weekend or holiday.

People often think they can save calories by skipping meals, but most people more than make up for those saved calories at other times of the day. Keeping track of calories with a food journal is a great way to stay on track throughout the day.

Diet myth 2: There are no bad foods, everything in moderation.

Diet facts: You may have heard that there are no good foods or bad foods, only good and bad diets. But truth be told, some foods just don't stand up nutritionally speaking. For example a potato chip can't hold a candle to a baked potato. And to say there are no bad foods might be a license for some people to eat anything whenever they want.

What's more, if having cookies in the house triggers a person to binge, then that food could be a problem simply because it results in unhealthy behaviors. Not to say you can't enjoy bad foods once in a while and in reasonable portions, but focus on eating fresh healthy foods and be aware of your own trigger foods.

Vit B Complex Benefits

The Vitamin B Complex comprises of the essential B Vitamins - Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B3, Vitamin B5, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B9, Vitamin B12 plus the vitamins Biotin, Choline and Inositol. Vitamin B Complex is needed for the proper functioning of almost every process in the body.

The early investigations having found the substance called vitamin B were surprised to discover a whole family of these B vitamins. Actually there were more than a dozen of these vitamins, all different and performing a wide variety of functions. Most of these B complex vitamins work together for the benefit of the body. Because of the close bond between them, they were referred to as the B complex vitamins.

Cereals such as rice, wheat, and barley all contain B complex vitamins, but they are found particularly in the outer covering of the grain. This means that polished rice has lost many of these vitamins. The same is true of white flour from meat.

The benefits of vitamin B complex to the elderly include improved memory and mood. No matter what their age, most people notice an improvement in memory and ability to concentrate, as well as a decrease in depressed feelings and irritability.

Vitamin B complex is used by the body to convert carbohydrates into glucose, which is then converted by the cells into energy, commonly referred to as metabolism. The symptoms of vitamin B complex deficiency are similar to symptoms of low blood sugar levels. Increased irritability is one of the first symptoms. Those with sluggish metabolisms or problems controlling their weight often benefit from vitamin B complex supplements.

Banana for Losing Weight

Bananas are a great food for all round health benefits, for the average person, dieter or even athletes bananas may provide greater benefits than most fruits. The combination of carbohydrates and B vitamins present in a banana helps provide an energy boost which makes them great to eat 30 minutes before a workout, or even at breakfast to help boost energy at the start of every day.

Different versions of the Morning Banana Diet tout varying explanations of exactly how bananas work to promote weight loss. One theory suggests that certain enzymes in bananas speed up digestion and elimination, causing rapid weight loss. However, the human body already contains all the enzymes needed for digestion. It's true that foods with fiber (and bananas have some) can go through the digestive system more quickly and may not be completely absorbed, thus saving a few calories. But the calorie savings are certainly not enough to revolutionize the weight loss industry.

Sample Diet Plan

Breakfast
One or more bananas (as many as desired until full)
One glass lukewarm water

Lunch
Meal of choice

Afternoon Snack
A small sweet snack is allowed around 3pm if hungry

Dinner
Meal of choice but must be eaten before 8pm
No dessert
