Cellulite Treatment Plastic Cosmetic Surgery



Cellulite is a common but unattractive dimpling and puckering of skin. Cellulite is caused by a combination of fibrous bands and superficial fat. When superficial fat compartments become distended with fat, fibrous bands tether skin, and cause dimpling at the points of attachment. Don't forget about endermologie cellulite treatment, chemical peels, liposuction, microdermabrasion, muscle relaxing injections, and hair transplants.

Laser Lipolisis (sometimes hyphenated or presented together as laserlipolisis) is a newer procedure invented in Italy. This procedure is not found in the United States as of yet and is performed in Italy, Argentina, possibly in Brazil and in scattered areas of Europe. This procedure is performed with injections similar to the "tumescent" technique and involves the insertion of a fiber optic laser through very small incisions. This fiber optic laser light seems to affect only the yellow material in the body -- the fat. Amounts of 500 grams of fat can usually be absorbed and naturally excreted as waste by the body. Although Laserlipolisis was not deigned for high volume applications, larger volumes of fat can be liquefied and suction aspirated. What is very odd and sometimes disturbing about Laserlipolisis is the audible popping sound during the procedure best described as sounding like popcorn popping. This procedure has been reported to help with cellulite.

Fatso Diet Guidelines



There are numerous types of fat. Your body makes its own fat from taking in excess calories. Some fats are found in foods from plants and animals and are known as dietary fat. Dietary fat is one of the three macronutrients, along with protein and carbohydrates, that provide energy for your body. Fat is essential to your health because it supports a number of your body's functions. Some vitamins, for instance, must have fat to dissolve and nourish your body.

The Dietary Guidelines are jointly issued and updated every 5 years by the Departments of Agriculture (USDA) and Health and Human Services (HHS). They provide authoritative advice for Americans ages 2 and older about consuming fewer calories, making informed food choices, and being physically active to attain and maintain a healthy weight, reduce risk of chronic disease, and promote overall health.

The Dietary Guidelines describe a healthy diet as one that

Emphasizes fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and fat-free or low-fat milk and milk products;
Includes lean meats, poultry, fish, beans, eggs, and nuts; and
Is low in saturated fats, trans fats, cholesterol, salt (sodium), and added sugars.

Carbohydrates are a type of nutrient found in many foods and beverages. Carbohydrates are your body's main energy source. Most carbohydrates are naturally occurring in plant-based foods. Food manufacturers also add carbohydrates to processed foods as starches or added sugar. Carbohydrates in the form of sugars, starches and fiber are found in legumes, grains, vegetables, fruits, milk, baked goods and many other foods.

Protein is an important nutrient, essential for growth and development. All the cells of your body include protein. Protein is also an important source of calories and energy. Both plant-based and animal-based foods provide protein.

Fats aren't necessarily bad for you, but you need only a small amount. Dietary fat is a nutrient that helps your body absorb essential vitamins, maintains the structure and function of cell membranes, and helps keep your immune system working. Some types of fat, though, may increase your risk of heart disease and other health problems. Fat also has a lot of calories, increasing the risk of weight gain.

Healthy Snacks After Workout



You've just finished a tough workout and your body is screaming for some nourishment. What should you eat to refuel and repair your muscles? Something high in carbohydrates, moderate in protein, and low in fat. Here are some satisfying snacks and meals that will help your body recover from your workout and prepare for your next exercise session!

"After a workout, you want ample protein combined with a carbohydrate," says Reisinger. A protein shake made from whey protein, water, and half a banana is a great choice, since your body quickly turns it into energy.

Recommended Serving Size: 2 scoops of whey protein powder combined with water and 1/2 banana, 250 calories

If you're not in the mood for a sandwich, skip the bread and eat the fillings on their own! Spread a soft-cheese wedge over two or three slices of lean deli turkey, then roll up for a quick, high-protein, eat-on-the-go snack. Add a sliced apple for some energy-boosting (and glycogen-replenishing) carbs.

Recommended Serving Size: 4 ounces deli turkey, 1 soft cheese wedge, and 1 apple, 240 calories

Yogurt gives you a good dose of protein and a small amount of fat, while the fruit provides a boost of carbohydrates, vitamins and fiber. Choose a variety of berries (or other fruits of your choice) and try different yogurt flavors.

Sports Bra Benefits



Women are working out more than ever it seems these days. No longer are they just walking around the neighborhood or doing exercise videos in their basements; women are out running marathons and training for long distance biking competitions.

In short, women are becoming highly trained and skilled sports competitors - even if they never compete. With these new challenges, they need all the support they can get - from the sports bra.

Sports bras are best for support during exercise. They are important for maintaining the integrity of the breast wall and the shape of the breast. Too much intense movement can cause ligaments surrounding the breasts to stretch and tear. Much of this damage is irreversible, and it causes drooping, sagging breasts; however, the right sports bra offers enough support to prevent this condition from occurring prematurely.

Sports bras typically have straps that are wider than conventional bra straps. A wider strap means that the weight of the breast tissue is distributed over a larger area. This ultimately is more comfortable for the wearer because the straps do not dig into the shoulders as easily. They also are less likely to twist and shift, allowing for better movement.

Working out without a supportive sports bra could leave you with a sore back. When your breasts are free to bounce, it can cause excess strain on your back. A sports bra lifts the breasts and binds them to the body, so there's less upper and lower back strain, especially when you've got an especially long workout planned. The Drummond Clinic points out that sports bras also provide posture support to help you maintain better form while completing certain exercises.
