The Real Deal Behind Diet Pills

Obesity often requires long-term treatment to promote and sustain weight loss. As in other chronic conditions, such as diabetes or high blood pressure, use of prescription drugs may be appropriate for some people. While most side effects of prescription weight loss drugs are mild, serious complications have been reported.

More than 90% of the time, diet pill companies just slide by and fail to include clinically proven weight loss ingredients in the clinically proven amounts. It’s easy to see why so many people don’t trust the diet pill industry. But, now you can get the truth by reading our unbiased diet pill reviews, written by medical professionals!

Alli/Xenical®

The only diet pill approved by the FDA, Alli is the over the counter version of prescription weight loss drug Xenical®. Both types use the drug orlistat as the active ingredient of weight loss. Instead of relying on plant extracts, orlistat has been tested and approved by the FDA as a weight loss medication. Orlistat is designed to block dietary fat absorption in the small intestine. It binds to active enzyme gastrointestinal lipase, which breaks down dietary fat for absorption, and inhibits its function. This inhibition blocks the uptake of up to 30% ingested fat which is then excreted as waste. Blocking fat absorption also blocks certain essential nutrients uptake as well, so those who take orlistat should also take a multivitamin daily to ensure proper nutrition. Side effects of taking orlistat are more severe when the intake of dietary fats is high. Oily spotting, flatulence, urgent bowel movements and fatty or oily stools are the most common side effects.

Hydroxycut

Hydroxycut is one of the most heavily advertised diet pills, boasting quick weight loss without a lot of effort. Hydroxycut is a combination of ten ingredients, dominated by caffeine and hydroxy tea (200 and 414 mg respectively). Hydroxy tea is similar to
green tea and is used because of its supposed ability to increase metabolism and suppress appetite. Other ingredients in Hydroxycut include green tea extract, oolong and white tea as well as a plant extracts from Garcinia cambogia and Gymnema sylvestre. Green tea is said to have “thermogenic” properties in the body which equates to using more calories to generate heat. EGCG and caffeine in the green tea supposedly induce the body to burn more calories in daily expenditure. However, according to new research, the increasing thermogeneis is merely due to the caffeine content of green tea.

Soccer Player Diet

Our bodies are like a finely tuned engine that needs to be fueled with the right mix of nutrients for optimal performance. This is especially important for soccer, where you are relying on your body for those sprints up the field and fast-paced tackles.

Soccer players require more calories than sedentary individuals. To maintain body weight and muscle mass, it's important to eat enough calories from healthy foods. The ideal way to know if you're eating enough calories is to keep an eye on your weight. If it's increasing, you're probably eating too many calories. If your weight is dropping, it may be time to increase your caloric intake. The President's Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition recommends that athletes get about 60 percent of their calories from carbohydrates, less than 30 percent from fat and the remainder from protein.

One of the biggest mistakes that starting soccer players make is that they believe that simply through training, they can get their bodies at maximum potential. Although training is vital in this sense, a carefully balanced diet will be the catalyst for a healthy body that can perform well under the stressful conditions that a soccer player must go through in practice or matches.

A balanced diet will handle any weight problems, since not all people can get their fat limit to 0 through sheer training – the clearest example is Ronaldo of AC Milan, who although is one of the greatest soccer players in existence, has always been criticized for being a bit chubby. Your diet will also be responsible for keeping you strong and agile, so what you eat truly becomes an issue when you're a soccer player.

Low Carb Diet Guide

There are many kind of diets you can choose as your solution to lose your weight. Each diet has its own advantages and disadvantages. You have to learn about the diet first before you do it. If you want to lose your weight fast, then I suggest for you to do the low carb diet. Here is the guide.

There is no one low-carb diet. The popular plans span a range of carb levels and food choices, though essentially all of them cut out most sugars and starches. Again, the best thing to do is to read one of the books – go to your library and browse, and zero in on something that looks doable to you. Essentially all of the popular books can be purchased used online for very little money.

Alternatively, if you just know you’re not the kind to read a book and follow someone else’s idea of a diet, the “No White Diet" works for many people. Basically, you just stop eating food with sugars, white flour (pasta, bread, cake, donuts, etc), white rice, and potatoes (some include milk). This effectively cuts back on the carbohydrate in your diet, especially the high glycemic types. Just realize that there are also white foods, such as tofu, cauliflower, and onions, that are low in carbs and good for you!

Low carb diets focus on energy usage and in particular controlling levels of energy obtained and released from carbohydrates. Carbohydrates are the body's primary source of energy. Carbohydrates fall into two groups: simple carbohydrates, such as common sugars present in honeys and syrups. Then we have complex carbohydrates, which are present in whole grain breads etc.

Naturally, the body will use simple carbohydrates such as sugars mentioned above as a main energy source. The aim of a low carb diet is to condition the body to start using fat as a primary source of energy instead of carbohydrates.

Scarlett Johansson Diet Plan

Wondering what makes her have that gorgeous body? Wondering what does she eat which can make her looks fantastic? and wondering why you don't?

Choose smaller portions or healthier versions of junk food. Scarlett has said her favorite treats are a slice of vegetable pizza with a Diet Coke or a slice of her homemade key lime pie. For dinner, Scarlett loves Chinese takeout: "A little white rice, a little chicken and some egg drop soup."

Honor one vice. Scarlett Johansson is a proud cheese fan and has been quoted saying "My greatest vice is cheese. Nothing else reigns over my life." By picking one thing she likes and indulging in it regularly, Scarlett is able to get her snack fix and lead a healthy life.

Sport plays a part in her life too. Do more cardio than weights at the gym. Scarlett keeps her figure and builds strength with a boxing workout. She avoids weights, which puts bulk on her gorgeous frame.

Cheryl Cole Diet Plan

Cheryl Cole is the number one most searched celebrity on the internet. I wonder how could that be. People say that she is the most sexiest women alive. I don't know about that. What is your opinion? If you agree with them, let's see her diet.

Super-slim songstress Cheryl Cole has revealed she's been using a blood type diet to help her stay in shape since her split from Ashley.

'I watch what I eat, not to stay slim but to feel good,' she said.

The X Factor beauty revealed the diet has made a real difference to her energy levels, and came with high recommendation... from her mum!

‘Recently my mother told me about Eat Right 4 Your Type, in which you're told what to eat and what to avoid depending on your blood type,' she said.

'It has made such a difference - not so much to my shape, but to how I feel and my energy levels. Before I was like 'energy schmenergy' and didn't believe it. But now I believe it 100 per cent.'

But Ms C - who jetted in to support the Black Eyed Peas in Cardiff yesterday - also puts her slim figure down to a hectic schedule and energetic dance routine.

Skinny Pill Myth

I never suggest you to consume the skinny pill. Don't believe all that bullshit. Well, maybe it can do something for your weight loss. Nonetheless, why not doing something more healthier for your body. Don't make you look so desperate to get skinny. Diet, work out, and some motivation will be enough.

Be Careful For Weight Loss Myths

Weight loss can be a hard thing to do for some people. Usually that people is lack of work out and motivation. Weight loss myths ares spread around the society. So you better watch out for it. Don't let your diet ruined by he myths.

Here are some myths :

1. “Lose 30 pounds in 30 days.” Or any other gimmick that pledges massive weight loss at breakneck speed. “It’s not healthy, and it’s not true,” Wilbert says. Permanent weight loss requires lifestyle change, not a quick fix, he adds.

2. Fat is bad for you. “Dietitians forwarded that one to people for years,” says registered dietitian and nutrition teacher Rick Hall. Now they know better. The truth is that some fats are unhealthy, and some are good – indeed, necessary – for your health. (Hence the term, “essential fatty acids”!)

3. Carbohydrates are bad for you. First it was fat, now carbohydrates are the bad guy. Wilbert explains that this trendy idea is just too broad. When trying to lose weight, make a distinction between unhealthy carbohydrates, such as white sugar, and complex carbohydrates, such as vegetables and whole grains, which provide vital vitamins, and fiber to aid digestion.

4. Lose weight by not eating. Uh…no. Starving deprives the body of the nutrients it needs for life and can lead to serious illness. Plus you lose muscle mass, not fat. Even if you do lose pounds, you gain them back almost immediately when you raid the fridge again.

5. Don’t eat after 6 p.m. “It’s not what time you eat, it’s what you eat!” insists Dare to Lose author, Shari Lieberman, Ph.D. “In Europe they eat at 10 o’clock at night and they’re half the size of Americans.”

Fasting for Weight Loss

Fasting is a good way to detoxify your body from many bad poison. It is will do a good effect if your do fasting once in a while. You have to do the healthy fasting suggested by the doctors.

Fasting can be a real life saver for the overweight person. The benefit of fasting is not in weight loss. Fasting will make you lose weight. A water fast will result in an average of 1 to 2 pounds per day of weight loss. But that is not the benefit of fasting for weight loss.

Like most forms of dieting, fasting can be used to bring about dramatic but temporary reductions of weight. You can go on a long fast, taking nothing but juice or eating grapes or taking some other low calorie meal substitute for several weeks, and while you are on the fast you will certainly lose weight. However, during the fast you may not be able to carry on your normal social interactions. It's not so easy to sit around sipping carrot juice while the rest of your family is eating a normal meal.

As the body burns fat, eliminates M.E.S.S. and cleanses itself, two things happen that can make you fatter.

First, after several days, your metabolism slows down. If your body were being described as a car, metabolism would be all of the engine and battery processes. The body slows its metabolism approximately 20% after several days on a fast. Medical science describes this as a survival mechanism.

Second, your digestive system is cleaner. The villi in the intestines are cleaner, the stomach lining is cleaner, the colon is cleaner.

Protein Bar

Protein bar is a food you can consume as your small portion meal or after you do some work out. You can add it to your diet too. It can help you if you are feeling hungry at late night. But don't make it a habit.

There are so many different brands and types of bars on the market -- meal replacement/diet bars, energy bars, protein bars -- that choosing one that's healthy and suits your goals can be quite confusing.

Different brand means different ingredients. The different types of bars all contain varying levels of protein, carbohydrates, fat, and sugar, depending on their intended goal. Energy bars are generally designed to give a boost of energy to endurance athletes, such as marathoners and cyclists.

Protein bars are formulated to be the perfect meal, all wrapped up in a quick and easy bar. It is easy to take them with you to work or school or anywhere that you need to get your protein or satisfy your hunger in a healthy way.

You even can try to make your own protein bar!

The Ice Cream Diet

There is a diet which suggest you only eat ice cream. Is it possible? Yeah, maybe. Well, there are also common diets for lowering your body weight which prohibited you to eat ice cream.

The trick is moderation, and eating healthy meals the rest of the day. While on the diet, women may have 1 cup of ice cream, and men may have 1½ cups per day. (You should use low-fat ice cream that contains 125 calories or fewer calories per half-cup serving, for a total of 250 calories for women, and 375 calories for men.)

Experts say calcium helps people lose weight because when your body doesn't get enough calcium, it triggers fat cells to store fat and get bigger. In addition, ice cream helps satisfy dieters' cravings, so they do not feel as strong an urge to binge.

But there are companies out there making fantastic diet ice cream, so before you get too despondent, give those brands a try.
