Nowadays, bloggers are starting to consider about their niches. Niche is so important if you want to have huge traffic blog. If you just want to blog about your opinion and don't really care whether there are people read at your blog or not, then niche is so not damn important.
Here’s a list of the factors which dashdot.com think, constitute the ideal blog niche:
1. Personal interest in topics within the niche. You enjoy reading, learning and writing about these blog topics.
2. Networking foundation. You are already active in several networking groups or forums within the niche.
3. Moderate to high search volume. The blog niche has a moderate to high search volume, meaning that people actually do search for more information on the topic.
4. Potential for Monetization. Ideally, you’ll want a blog niche that actually serves up relevant contextual ads or has a range of affiliate programs which are at least partially relevant to your audience’s needs.
Its important to have a passion for the subject and to know you can provide quality content and better information than your competition.
Many failed blogs on the net failed because they had no purpose or direction. Many bloggers just wing it in the beginning hoping that something eventually sticks. Now…if you are just looking to have a personal blog that shows what you are doing throughout your life and you are not looking to make any income from your blogging, then having a blog without a direction is ok. You are just blogging for the sake of sharing your life and thoughts…not creating a business or income generation. When you are looking to generate income through your blogging and make money online that will hopefully replace that 9-5 that you love to hate, you need to have a direct purpose in your blogging with a defined subject matter.
